SolveMate now installs from the Chrome Web Store: one click, and it
keeps itself up to date from now on. If you installed it from our site,
switch over in about a minute, three steps.
💻 SolveMate runs in Chrome on a laptop or desktop. Open this page there:
https://www.solvemate.net/switch
✓ The Web Store version is installed in this browser. If the old copy is still there too, do step 2, then step 3.
This browser still has the old copy.Follow the three steps below to switch.
Paste this into Chrome's address bar (Chrome blocks links to it):
chrome://extensions
The old SolveMate card says "Unpacked extension" or shows a "Loaded from" folder. Click Remove on that one.
Keep the SolveMate that doesn't say that. It's the Web Store copy.
You can switch Developer mode off afterwards (top right). SolveMate no longer needs it.
Skipping this leaves the old copy running on your homework page, where it can take over the SolveMate panel and stop Start from working.
When you remove it, Chrome opens a SolveMate page saying it was uninstalled; that is about the old copy, and you can close it.

Sign in once at solvemate.net
In this same Chrome, log in on solvemate.net. The new copy picks up your login by itself, with no typing inside the extension.
Nothing to buy again. Your account, your Pro plan and your remaining questions are tied to your login, not to the copy you installed, so they carry straight over.
Settings such as Super Speed are saved in each copy, not in your account, so if you used Super Speed, turn it back on in the new copy's SolveMate panel.
