Terms of Service
Last updated: September 3, 2026
By creating a SolveMate account or using the SolveMate extension, you agree to these terms.
What SolveMate is
SolveMate is a study aid: a browser extension that uses AI to answer and explain questions on supported course platforms. AI-generated answers can be wrong. We make no guarantee of accuracy, grades, or fitness for any purpose.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for how you use SolveMate, including compliance with your school's academic-integrity policies and any rules set by your course platform. Using SolveMate where it is not permitted is your decision and your risk.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use SolveMate. If you are under 18, use it with a parent's or guardian's permission.
- One account per person. Accounts are for personal use and may not be shared or resold; we may limit simultaneous devices.
- Don't attempt to abuse, reverse-engineer, overload, or circumvent limits of the service.
Plans and billing
- The free plan includes a limited number of questions. Pro is a subscription billed through Stripe, either monthly or yearly as chosen at checkout, and renews automatically at the end of each period until cancelled.
- Cancel any time from your account page; access continues to the end of the paid period. Payments already made are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Prices may change; we'll show the current price at checkout before you pay.
Updates
We may require you to install the current version of the extension for it to keep working — outdated versions can be blocked for security and reliability reasons.
Termination
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us.
Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, SolveMate is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
